mBank Recognizes Growth and Development with Branch Manager Promotions

MANISTIQUE, Mich., August 18, 2020 -mBank is pleased to announce the promotions of Katelyn Gage and Melissa Hopkins to Branch Manager roles. These promotions from within the bank continue to demonstrate the opportunities for career growth at mBank.

Katelyn Gage started with mBank in June of 2019 in her role as Assistant Branch Manager of the Ishpeming Main and Negaunee branch locations. Gage earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies with a Minor in Business Administration from Northern Michigan University and has over 10 years of professional banking experience including consumer lending, business relationship banking, and leadership development training. Outside of work, Gage is heavily involved in the community, serving as a member of Ishpeming/Negaunee Rotary Club, Leadership Board Member of Marquette Hope, and supporter of Negaunee Public Schools.

“I have successfully built rapport and trust with my clients and the community by focusing on the long-term customer relationships,” said Gage. “With 10 years of experience serving a wide range of banking customers, I feel passionate about supporting my team by sharing all the knowledge and experience I have gained. With an educational background in law and accounting, Hopkins decided to pursue a career in banking after moving to the area from California just over three years ago. She has continued to grow in her career at mBank, moving from Teller, to Head Teller, to Assistant Branch Manager, to Branch Manager. During her time in California, Hopkins was a volunteer youth softball coach and was involved in her church’s Awana program and youth ministry.
