“mBank places great value in utilizing technology in every area of the company, so naturally it is a great fit, but the best part about working at mBank is the people I get to work with. mBank focuses on teamwork and it shows. We work hard every day but we have fun along the way.”

Work Where You Play - Explore the Possibilities
Headquartered in Manistique, Michigan, mBank is made up of many branches located throughout the Upper Peninsula, Northern Lower Peninsula, and Southeast regions, as well as locations in Northern Wisconsin. Our markets share a similar sense of small town community living and values centered in beautiful outdoor meccas with abundant fresh water, forests, hills and trails. Our regions are award-winning and celebrated as ideal places for raising families, starting businesses, or vacationing. The allure and comforts of city living include exceptional shopping, dining, and cultural experiences. Outstanding higher education institutions can also be found in the cities where we operate.
Upper Peninsula of Michigan
The Upper Peninsula is home to mBank’s headquarters in Manistique and several other branches spread throughout the central and eastern halves. The area borders three Great Lakes, over 4,000 inland lakes and thousands of miles of streams. With two National Forests and 14 State Parks, recreation possibilities abound. In the midst of all this natural beauty, the Upper Peninsula offers hunting, hiking, biking, skiing and snowboarding, boating, ATVing, snowmobiling and camping.
The upper portion of the lower peninsula of Michigan is commonly referred to as “Northern Michigan” and is where several of our branches operate. Much like the Upper Peninsula, this area is known for its natural beauty and popularity as a tourist destination. The Traverse City area is known for its award winning dining, wine and cherry production, beaches, resorts and festivals. Gaylord is referred to as an “Alpine Village” with its chalet-style architecture and also boasts nine golf courses.
The city of Birmingham is located approximately halfway between Detroit and Pontiac with easy access to major roadways, airports and train systems. Although located in an affluent urban area, Birmingham is able to maintain a small town feel with over 20 parks, nearly 300 retailers, and plenty of cultural activities, all while remaining pedestrian-friendly.
Our Wisconsin locations have an abundance of fresh water, forests, and extensive trail networks ranging from biking, hiking, snowmobiling and ATVing. Our easternmost locations are home to a series of scenic and accessible waterfalls, including rapids for rafting and kayaking. Eagle River is located on the world’s largest chain of 28 connected lakes and is known as the “Snowmobile Capital of the World” with its 500 miles of trails.
