We will keep confidential any information we have about you, but in order to serve you and provide better service, we may share information about you with our affiliated companies and business partners as described below. As a matter of policy and long time business practice, mBank does not sell or disclose information provided by its customers.
PIN and Personal Information
mBank never emails or calls you for personal information and we’ll never ask for your PIN or Password. Don't get scammed, just hang up or delete the email. Call your local branch with any questions.
Collection, Retention and Use of Customer Information by mBank
We routinely collect, retain or obtain information that may include your name, address, telephone number, social security number, annual income, current and former employers, answers to questions on deposit, loan, insurance, credit card, investment applications, deposit and loan balances, overdraft history, your payment history with us, credit reporting agencies (credit bureaus) reports on your credit and savings history including current and past debts and credit scores and what types of products or services you purchase or use from us and how you use them. We also have information on checks and debit card transactions that include payee and transaction amounts. Of course, the type of information we collect will depend on the service or product that you request. We do not disclose any nonpublic information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law.
mBank collects this information about its customers or applicants only for specified business purposes such as loan qualification or to open an account. We also collect information when we reasonably believe that it will help us to administer our business or to provide products, services, and other opportunities for our customers. mBank will only use the information it collects to protect and administer customer records, accounts and funds, to qualify you for products or loan services, to complete transactions initiated or approved by our customers or prospects, to comply with certain laws and regulations, to help us create new or improved products and services for our customers, and to introduce new products or services for our customers. Procedures have been established to ensure that only applicable and trained personnel are responsible for collecting and disclosing pertinent customer information for business purposes.
The Confidentiality, Security and Integrity of Your Nonpublic Personal Information
We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.
Our Policy Establishes Procedures Ensuring That:
- When you apply or enroll for any of our products or services, whether in person, by mail, phone, or the Internet, we will ask you for certain nonpublic personal information in order to process your application.
- When you send us e-mail, we retain the content of the e-mail, the domain or source of the visitor, and our response.

We pledge not to reveal specific information about your accounts, or other information that will personally identify you, to those outside mBank for their independent use, unless:
- The information is necessary to affect, administer, or enforce a transaction you requested.

- The disclosure is required or permitted by law.
- We make products available that are offered by a third party who is under contract to provide these services. These companies or vendors must sign a confidentiality agreement to respect the privacy of our customer information provided.
We Will Maintain Your Privacy in Our Business Relationships with Third Parties
mBank enters into agreements with its business partners, agents, or joint marketing firms, to provide key business functions, such as credit and debit card processing, information systems processing, optional credit life and disability insurance on loans, items for customer convenience, such as optional payroll deduction for loan payments and expanded financial products and services. All of our business partners, including joint marketing firms (should that occur) and agents, enter into contractual agreements which require nonpublic personal information that we share with them to be kept confidential and the information not used for any purpose outside of our written agreement.
We Will not Share Your Medical Information
mBank will not share medical information for any purpose unless you consent, such as for an insurance application or claim.
Your Privacy Choices
The law allows us to share with our affiliates any information about our transactions or experiences with you. Unless permitted by law, we will not share with our affiliates other information that you provide to us or that we obtain from third parties (for example, credit bureaus) if you check the box on the Privacy Choice Form.
If you have a joint account, a request by one owner will apply to the joint account. Your designation, if elected, applies to your current portfolio of accounts. Our system will be updated to reflect your preferences within 30 days following receipt of your request with complete information.
This policy statement does not expand legal obligations and is not intended to create any liability other than that found in law. mBank reserves the right to change this privacy policy at any time.
Ending the Customer Relationship
When you or we end your relationship with us, we will treat the information we have on you as if you were still our customer.
